Inspired by Circle of Life from Disney's The Lion King
One of the cool things I get to do as a ticket agent is listen to the first act of shows as I wait for intermission. Tonight I was inspired by hearing Lion King again for the first time this run (I have seen it 3 times between the last two times it was here). Before work I had brushed off my flute and played some of the songs from the musical. I decided to take the inspiration and create a couple of fun pieces. I started with a photo of the flute sheet music to Circle of Life.
After tweaking it by using high contrast I used the macro photo of a lit himalayan salt lamp shown below.
After that I played with the Circle theme of the song. Here are some results:
